So vegans don't get to eat anything nice, or sweet because basically we're just mad hippy weirdo's who skulk around eating dust or whatever....
Proper ones that actually taste nice, and are, well, like, normal...
These are salted caramel – a moist sponge with a salted caramel centre and salted caramel sauce drizzled over “butter” icing. Very sweet!!
Who'd have thought it. But it's true.
We're not - as it turns out - missing out on pretty much anything.
We get to eat the same lovely sweet spongy cakey loveliness as everyone else.
And the good news is - so can you!
Don't be fooled though.
Just because they are vegan does not mean they are any less fattening (well maybe a bit) OR have any less sugar. But they do taste nice.
Turns out you CAN have your cake and eat it.
Someone told me that old saying is wrong and should be "You can't eat your cake and have it". Which if you think about it does make a bit more sense.
I mean of course you can "have your cake and eat it" why else would you have it in the first place?
But to "eat your cake and have it" implies that after eating said item you are in fact still in possession of the same and therefore still one cake up on the deal.
